Earlier in the summer I took over the ride on this talented horse who is being produced for sale and from our first show together in July he has accumulated a string of great results and clear rounds. We took the decision to step him up to 1.45m level during the two weeks at Riesenbeck – and he didn’t disappoint.
Jumping clear after clear, picking up placings and jumping the big tracks in the wonderful grass arena – the videos speak for themselves. All the team at IN Showjumpers are very excited to play a part in this horse’s journey to the top of the sport- He is a firm favourite of the riders, grooms and camera wizard.
I would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Riesenbeck for putting on two fantastic weeks of sport, with tracks that were both educational for the horses and testing with wonderful footing and facilities to support the top class grass main ring.
The rest of the team of quality young horses also jumped some super rounds, with the 8 year old mare, Ma Pomme De Tamerville ( Deauville x Contendro I) coming home with a some great placings as always!
The horses are now back home for a quiet week back in their own stables and spending time out in the wonderfully green paddocks before they head to Valkenswaard and Peelbergen in September.
A quiet week for the older horses it maybe!.... but the home team have been hard at work behind the scenes developing the younger horses over the past weeks so that they were ready for me to do some jump schooling with them during their days back in the UK.
We have a number of fantastic four and five olds waiting in the wings for their time to shine .....watch this space for an overview of the youngsters in action at home.
We are very lucky that Jackson Graves, a talented young Canadian rider has joined the team, to keeping the home fire burning. It has certainly been a baptism of fire as over the past month he has been kept very busy training clients who are based with us and working the young horses. A huge thank you to Jackson who has done a fantastic job preparing the clients for their first trip to the continent to get back in the ring at Peelbergen in September. However this should also go to the whole team at home, but in particular Olivia Matthews and Sally Palmer who with feel and patience spend a lot of time training the youngsters on the ground lunging and long reining.
As they say – it is teamwork that makes the dream work!
