I was drawn first to go from over 60 starters in the 2* Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon and boy did he come of age and jump his socks off!

With 16 going forward to the jump off he again put in a class round setting the pace, with his huge step he easily took a stride out to the first fence and kept up a great rhythm to the finish, putting pressure on those to follow. Leading until the last two went into the ring he finished in third position to the delight of all the team. IN Showjumpers bought him as a five year old, as a young horse he was produced by my sister, Anna Wilks and I took over the ride last year. He has been “knocking” on the door for this result over the past months and I am so pleased for him to take his first Grand Prix placing with such style. He is a pleasure to train and ride and the feel of the fence is amazing, I am excited about the year ahead with him.

Earlier in the week the exciting 7 year old Hocus Pocus once again was placed in the final. He is so consistent…. He makes my job easy…. This is the third week in a row he has been through to the jump off in the final.

A great weekend at the office!! Thank you team!
