11 years ago my first international show!

It was great to be back in France at this top venue, the footing in the grass arena was perfect and the experience for the three young horses I took could not have been better. The atmosphere at the French shows is always great and I really hope I can return next year.

All three horses the nine year old Knockout Van’t Paradijs, the eight year old Loeki Van’t Lindenhof and the seven year old Ma Pomme De Tammerville jumped really well. However, it was the seven year old Ma Pomme who was the star of the show for me. She had never jumped on grass before so it was a big ask in itself and when you add to this the fact that she only started her competitive journey 12 months ago she was amazing…. I could not have been more proud of her.

For Loeki and Knockout, it was a great warm-up show for La Baule, although we had an odd learning mistake here and there they both jumped a couple of top rounds and felt in good shape for the next step on the ladder of their careers!

I now spend a week in Belgium helping one of the team riders, Luke Barham at Sentower with four of the younger horses.
